Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Live Radio mobile application and the related backend services at api.liveradio.today (together, “the App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What Live Radio is

Live Radio is an Internet radio player and directory. It allows you to discover and listen to publicly broadcast Internet radio streams operated by independent broadcasters around the world.

Live Radio does not host, produce, license, or own the audio content reachable through the App. The App is a thin client that plays each station’s publicly available HTTP/HTTPS stream — the same stream those broadcasters publish for use by web browsers, smart speakers, in-car infotainment systems, and other Internet radio applications.

2. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your Apple devices for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App’s source code, except to the limited extent permitted by mandatory law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or rent the App or any portion of it.
  • Use the App to systematically scrape, copy, or republish the station catalog.
  • Use the App in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or interferes with other users.

3. Station availability and third-party content

The radio stations and audio streams reachable through the App are operated and controlled by independent third parties. Live Radio does not:

  • Guarantee that any particular station will be available, reliable, lawful, or appropriate for any purpose.
  • Endorse the views, content, or programming of any station.
  • Modify, transcode, mirror, or store the audio content of any station.

Stations may go offline, change URLs, be removed by their operators, or be removed from our catalog in response to takedown requests at any time, without notice.

If you believe a station listed in the App infringes your copyright or other rights, please submit a notice in accordance with our DMCA & Takedown Policy.

4. Optional In-App Purchases

The App may offer optional one-time purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store. By making such a purchase:

  • The transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.
  • Subscriptions, where applicable, automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions).
  • We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a subscription period. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policy.
  • Optional purchases unlock convenience features or expressions of support; the App remains usable in its core form without any purchase.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Engage in or facilitate any illegal activity.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our backend, other users’ devices, or any third-party system.
  • Send automated requests to our backend faster than the App would normally generate them.

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access to our backend for any user whose activity, in our reasonable judgment, violates these Terms or threatens the integrity of the service.

6. Intellectual property

The App’s source code, design, name, logo, and original assets are owned by us and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to those assets except the limited license to use the App as described in Section 2.

The audio content, station logos, broadcaster trademarks, and other third-party materials reachable through the App remain the property of their respective owners. The App’s use of station names is purely nominative — to identify the broadcaster’s service to you — and does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • Any particular station will be available, functional, lawful, or suitable for any purpose.
  • Song titles, station metadata, or other information shown in the App will be accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • Defects in the App will be corrected.

You use the App at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Live Radio, its developer, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $10.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Live Radio, its developer, and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to our backend services if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms. Sections 6 through 14 survive termination.

12. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Live Radio, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App’s developer is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. This does not affect any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision took effect. Material changes will be highlighted in the App’s release notes. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
